or just username Password: This is the same password you log into our network with, or was assigned when you commercial account was created. All our servers are named after the protocols ie: Incoming server: POP3: pop3.config.com IMAP: imap.config.com Outgoing server: SMTP: smtp.config.com
We use SMTP Authentication! On Outlook Express check the box "My server requires authentication". Click the settings tab to the right and check the box "use same server as incoming". SMTP Authentication is the #1 reason for email failures. All our rural dial-up accounts have port 25 blocked except to our Mail Exchange (MX) IP's. These include:Web mail is also available at http://webmail.config.com NOTES of INTEREST: Only our SMTP mail server IP's are authorized to send email from the config.com network! These include: MX-1.config.com 70.62.221.184 MX-2.config.com 96.11.61.120 MX-3.config.com 66.219.144.134 We employ the SPF protocol to enforce the protection of our IP's! This combined with SMTP Authentication means only authorized domains, and accounts may send email from our servers thus protecting our commercial clients from the negative SEO impact of allowing spammers to harm our good domain and IP's ;) Sending "unsolicited" email in mass is terms for account termination! |
